Ronnie Watkins Ford is a proud part of Gadsden, Etowah County and northeast Alabama. This is a special place to us and we deeply appreciate our neighbors who allow us to serve them with new Fords, pre-owned vehicles, parts and service. We're home folks who believe that neighbors should help neighbors and that we're all called to give back to our community. Ronnie Watkins and his family have lived, worked and worshipped in Etowah County for over twenty years. Many of the people who work at Ronnie Watkins Ford were born, raised, and went to school right here in the area. To us, helping our neighbors isn't just a responsibility; it's a privilege and an honor.
In 2011, Ronnie Watkins was recognized with Ford's prestigious Salute To Dealers Award. This award recognizes the Top Six Ford Dealerships in North America and Europe who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to caring, sharing, and making their community better. In addition, Ronnie Watkins Ford has received the coveted President's Award thirteen times including eight consecutive years from 2015-2022! Readers of the Gadsden Times named Ronnie Watkins Ford as their Favorite New Car Dealer and Best Service Department multiple years in a row.
We work directly with area schools to support teachers and help prepare our students for the future. Ronnie Watkins Ford has helped raise more than $23,000 for local schools in partnership with Ford and the Drive One For Your School Program. At these events, schools receive huge donations just for test-driving new Fords! We have taken this incredible fundraiser to Gadsden City High School, Glencoe High School, Hokes Bluff High School and Southside High School and we hope to bring it to more schools in the future.
Our commitment to area schools extends into many ongoing programs. For seventeen years, many high school students in the area take Driver's Education in vehicles provided by Ronnie Watkins Ford. We are a leading sponsor for the Etowah County Teacher Of The Year Banquet. We support local athletics through signage on fields, team sponsorships, and other fundraisers. Ronnie Watkins Ford is proud of our ongoing partnership with Head Start and the opportunity each year to help teach our youngest students that "C is for Car".
Through volunteerism, contributions, and ongoing partnerships, Ronnie Watkins Ford works to assist our neighbors who need a little help. Every year, you'll find folks from Ronnie Watkins Ford ringing bells for the Salvation Army. Did you know that Santa drives an F-150? Well, he does in Gadsden. We work closely with the Salvation Army and their Angel Tree program to insure that every child enjoys the magic of Christmas. We invite you to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the dealership any time in December to be part of this exceptional tradition.
Ronnie Watkins Ford has been recognized by the Etowah County Red Cross with the Good Neighbor Award. Ronnie Watkins is also proud to be involved with the United Way, Samford University, Jacksonville State University, Gadsden State Community College, Boy Scouts of America and the ESTEEM program that encourages local students to achieve in school.
Ronnie Watkins Ford is a member of the Etowah County Chamber of Commerce and the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and works to strengthen the business community and support tourism to our area.
